Cal Fire firefighters watch as a helicopter gets water out of Don Pedro Reservoir in an effort to contain the Jackson Fire near Moccasin Point in Tuolumne County, California. The fire was believed to have started at approximately 11:30 am on Thursday, September 4, 2014. The cause of the fire is unknown. By 4:00 pm, the fire had grown to approximately 100 acres, and though structures were threatened, none were believed to have been lost. Moccasin Point is located at Don Pedro Reservoir, east of Modesto, near the Sierra Foothill communities of Sonora and Groveland.

Mr. CHRIS TOMASOVICH shoulders his equipment while taking a break in logging operations in Tuolumne County where the Rim Fire burned. <br />
<br />
Mr. TOMASOVICH was killed on May 30, 2014, in a logging accident while working in an area burned out by the Rim Fire. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that Mr. TOMASOVICH of Sonora was working for a private contractor near Cottonwood Road and Forest Road 1N84 when he was struck by a falling tree.

This Ford Tri-Motor NC9645, nicknamed The Tin Goose, has a wingspan of 77 feet 6 inches and was constructed in 1928. It was named the City of Wichita, and it was used to introduce the first coast-to-coast passenger air/rail service in the United States on July 7, 1929, and the development and inauguration of the first all air passenger service on October 25, 1930. The plane can carry up to 10 passengers.<br />

Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a worldwide organization of aviation enthusiasts. EAA’s 185,000 members and 1,000 local chapters enjoy sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring aircraft. Pine Mountain Lake’s EAA Chapter 1337 is hosting the airline’s visit.
