  • After bearing witness to devastation year after year, in populated communities and in forests, I’ve begun searching for Beauty in Fire. This un-manipulated photograph is part of my "Heat Cannot Be Separated From Fire" series, and I hope to translate some of the Profound Beauty that I experience in Fire.<br />

I continue to document many aspects of fire, and the changing climate, from my home in California's wildfire country near Yosemite National Park. When I arrived in rural California nearly 20 years ago, the wildfire season typically lasted from August through October. Living with fire is now a year-round fact of life.
