The Great Reno Balloon Race

A "Cheers" balloon rises over Rancho San Rafael Regional Park just north of downtown Reno, Nevada, during the Great Reno Balloon Race Preview Day on Thursday, September 7, 2017. The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot-air ballooning event in the world. An average of 120,000 spectators attend the event each year. The event officially kicks off tomorrow morning in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park with a Super Glow Show at 5:15 a.m.
